FEATURED COMPANY
Flour Mills Nigeria
QUESTIONS:
1. Tell us about your final year project?
Tip: The assessors are desirous of you linking your project to the company and her products. You have to explain why and how the project is important; how it can be commercialised and how conducting it has developed you as an individual. Expect technical questions from whatever answer provided.
2. What have you gained from the during your working experience?
Tip: Here, you narrate your previous working experience(s) and how it has helped you become a better and more refined individual. Preferably, you link what you have gained to FMN’s values, working culture and mission statements. Even if you are a fresh graduate, you can use your NYSC experience, internship or any leadership/volunteering role you have been involved in.
3. Tell me about a time you faced an ethical dilemma?
Tip: You are being assessed on how you respond to an ethical or integrity situation. You are to exude integrity, honesty and a resolve to doing things the right way. On no account should you agree to go against ethics even if “it might seem the faster route” to solving problems. For instance, you are sent to deliver products to a client at a specified time and road safety officials compound the car for flouting a traffic rule. The client expects the products within the time specified and you are held against from moving until the case is settled. What would you do?
4. Tell me about a time you disagreed with your team members?
Tip: You are being assessed on how you are to manage situations with team members. You are going to work with humans not robots, and humans have different behaviours. Think about a situation where you disagreed; what caused it; the task at hand; action taken to solve it; and the eventual result. Also talk about how it shaped your interpersonal skills.
5. You get hired and you got to discover a fraud in your unit, and your predecessor is your current boss. What would you do?
Tip: Here, you are judged on two things. One: Your integrity. Two: How you understand hierarchical processes. As expected, you are to be ethical in your dealings. You must exhibit someone of high integrity even when pressured. Secondly, you should know who, when and how to report such a discovery. If you have an event to narrate to effectively answer this question, you can use it provided you do not lie. Expect follow up questions from whatever answers given.
