FEATURED COMPANY
OLAM NIGERIA
QUESTIONS:
1. Why Olam?
Tip: Another way of asking: Why us? Why are you the best fit for this company? Here, the interviewers want to why you want to work for the company. Talk about their products, values (align it with yours), how it started from Nigeria to become a global corporation; the training offered and exposure derived. Basically, see yourself as an employee of the firm telling investors why they should invest in the firm.
2. Walk me through your undergraduate project?
Tip: Your project is important. Walk them through the process; goals; achievements and how it is relevant to the company’s processes. Furthermore, talk about how it has developed your learning ability and the technical knowledge obtained from it.
3. Tell me about a time you worked in a team that had an uncooperative colleague?
Tip: Your team work ability is tested here. You should not criticise your colleague while narrating the event. Tell them how you were able to encourage the colleague to understand why the work being done is important. Explain how despite the individual being uncooperative, you and the team were able to achieve desired goals.
4. Tell me about a time you worked effectively under pressure?
Tip: Your time management skill is being assessed. Here, you list the projects you have worked on and concisely enumerate how you were able to effectively manage through the projects and coming out successful. Play on team work and how your team helped you in achieving the desired goals.
5. Tell me about a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work?
Tip: Here, the interviewers are desirous of you exhibiting your communication and persuasive skills. Tell them about that time when you had to discuss your ideas with colleagues on any occasion, project, event, course work etc and made them see things your way.
