QUESTIONS:
1. Tell me about yourself?
Tip: Another way of asking: Can we meet you? Give a pitch about yourself – concisely – and persuasive that displays your being the right person for the job. You can commence in different ways and this depends on your category you are applying for. For instance, you are applying as an entry-level, you could begin with the 2-3 specific accomplishments or experiences that you most want the interviewer to know about, then wrap up talking about how that prior experience has positioned you for this specific role. Additionally, talk about relevant certifications and advanced degrees. This question is to tell the interviewer(s) who you are in a succinct manner.
2. Why Sahara Group?
Tip: This is where you have to play on their brand, breadth and width of products, fascinating things they have done and the training they offer. Express the passion you have always had for Sahara Group and the industry (preferably using stories). You need to really to the extent of being a passionate and responsible employee. Also, align it to their vision and values. Expect follow-up questions. An example is: Why should we hire you?
3. Discuss any economic news?
Tip: You might be asked to bring along a relevant daily to the interview and told to discuss a news headline on it. Choose the news you have ideas about. Discuss it in a logical manner and prepare for follow-up questions regarding your answers and the news. Here, your thinking ability and being knowledgeable about key economic events are tested.
4. Talk about a time when you had to work closely with someone whose personality was very different from yours
Tip: Here, you have to demonstrate your communicative, team-work abilities, interpersonal skills etc. This question wants an answer that will tell the recruiters that you can work with different personalities – as this is what will happen daily if you are hired.
5. What other companies are you interviewing with?
Tip: Here, the firm wants to know the competitor(s) for your skill set. How do they compete with them? What industry are they in? Your answer tells the recruiter if you are focused on a particular industry or various industries or roles (especially if for entry level or possess skills that could be transferred across industries).
