ACCENTURE NIGERIA

QUESTIONS:

1. What do you know about Accenture Nigeria?

Tip: A 2-in-1 question scenario is being played out here. The other question here is: What do you know about about Accenture? These questions test your knowledge about the firm from a global perspective, ditto local. Concisely narrate who Accenture is and what they do, also talk about what the firm does globally and in Nigeria. Additionally, talk about the history of the firm in Nigeria and how they evolved to be who they are today. The recruiters are desirous of assessing your knowledge about the firm in a succinct manner.

2. Tell me about a time when it was especially important to make a good impression on a client. How did you go about doing so?

Tip: Use the STAR approach. What was the situation? Task? Action taken? Result? You had to make a good impression to a client; the recruiters want to know how you went about the process and what was the conclusion. This is a question that requires a response that is logical and concise. Expect follow-up questions. Example: What did learn from the process?

3. Take me through your final year project?

Tip: Here, the interviewers want you to take them through your final year project and how you were able to come out with the result. You are required to explain the project proficiently. For instance, “You studied Computer Science and you are asked about your project. Project topic: Design and construction of a 10KVA generator.
“You’ll agree with me that in Nigeria, voltage fluctuation is a very common phenomenon. This voltage fluctuation results in conditions known as over voltage and under voltage. Over voltage occurs when the voltage level goes above the nominal voltage range which is 220-240V and under voltage is the reverse. These voltage anomalies damage our household appliances and as such, a device that regulates voltage comes as a relief. As a result, I set out to design and construct a 10KVA voltage regulator also known as stabiliser. Incorporated in my design were four relays micro-controller to aid reduce the damage.”

4.  Tell me about a time you were involved in a project?

Tip: The interviewers want to know about your interpersonal skills and how you were able to work with your colleagues. They are interested in the process, ditto the result. Your response either exhibits the kind of person they desire in the workplace and how you will most likely cope in any project team you are part of.

5. What other firms are you interviewing with?

Tip: Candidates usually fear this question. Does it make them come across as over ambitious? Not committed? Any where belly face? Whatever the case (in the same/different industry or not interviewing with any firm), put your case forward in such a way that makes the present role and firm you are pursuing the most ideal no matter the size or brand of the other firms. Remember, don’t chide the other firms. This is another way of ask: Why Accenture Nigeria and not KPMG?
