I am N.E. I got your email from one of your posts on Nairaland. I have been a registered member of Nairaland since 2008.
I have followed your every post on Nairaland and
JarusHub religiously as I have gone through different phases in life. I have learned so much and still learning from the likes of
xfire who keep the fire of excellence burning in me. I owe this to you.
I am contacting you to solicit your support for a couple of my friends who have entered a Global Startup competition. These guys are pretty smart and have come up with a solution to the nuisance arising from being shortchanged at petrol/kerosene stations.
I believe with your support, we can make a difference. Below is the message sent to me by them and whatever you can do (within your understandably tight schedule) to forward and spread it will be appreciated.
“Have you ever felt cheated at petrol stations when you buy 10 litres but 7 litres is actually dispensed?
Support one of our own for the solution to this menace by voting for a Nigerian Startup (Flowbyte) at the Global Startup Battle.
We all know that at filling stations, people are often cheated in the amount of petrol/kerosene they buy. Meter tampering is a normal thing.
Some friends of mine had an idea to stop this. They are designing a small device to calculate how much fuel enters your tank from the nozzle.
