I think Jarushub deserves 3 of the awards. My reasons:
- Best Career or Job Blog: On this blog, we have shared valuable information on career development. We have also interviewed successful professionals to share their success stories with a view to letting others learn. Our articles like Common Interview Questions & Answer Tips, 5 Great Places to Start Career in Nigeria, 5 Common Mistakes Nigerian Job Seekers Make, and others, were widely commended, not only for the originality, but being experience-drawn. We also have the best career advisory window that has solved the career dilemmas of tens of Nigerian that came sought advice, thanks to our array of eggheads. We also run a CV clinic for free review of CVs. We are also organizing free offline career event that is featuring top CEOs in Nigeria. Jarushub, no doubt, deserves to be Nigeria’s career blog of the year 2013.
- Best New Blog: This blog was launched in March 2013, and within six months, it is one of the most influential blogs in Nigeria today with the quality of people that associate with it. From company CEOs to political personalities, Jarushub is now well-known. In fact, no less media outfit than THISDAY, Nigeria’s most influential newspaper, reported the blog’s event. See THISDAY report here. gaining such credibility within a short period of time, Jarushub deserves this award.
- Nigerian Blog of the Year: Jarushub is the first Nigerian blog to exclusively interview a major presidential candidate. Not even well established political blogs have been able to achieve this feat. Read our interview with Mallam Nuhu Ribadu here. Other high profile personalities that have been exclusively interviewed on this blog include, former Media Adviser to late President Yar’adua, Mr. Segun Adeniyi; CEO of Accenture Nigeria, Mr. Niyi Yusuf; Professor Pius Adesanmi, amongst others. Our career conference is also parading probably the biggest assembly of top professionals in Nigeria. I don’t think any other Nigerian blog has been able to achieve this in 2013. I therefore think Jarushub deserves this award.
….probably plus this too:
- Best Personal Blog: The life experiences this blog’s founder, Jarus and another columnist, Michael Taiwo, share on this blog, qualify this blog as a challenger in this category too. Articles such as Femi Taiwo @ 30 series, Jarus @ 31 series, and Jarus on Femi @ 31 series are loaded with personal experiences that are highly educative.
So when the nomination begins on September 23, 2013, go here and nominate Jarushub in these categories.
