Dear Sir,
I am currently working in the financial services sector in the city of London. I’m now seriously considering a move back to Nigeria and would like to know the salary structure for an experienced professional with 5 years of work experience. I’m looking for a move in the financial service sector as an investment banker. Could you please inform me of the current market rate. In addition, for my friend, what salary can he command as a field engineer with GE?
Regards,

Many things go into valuation of your pay: your experience, your qualifications, the company pay scale, what the company thinks you have to offer, etc. So there is no hard and fast rule about this. Is the IB firm your work for in London a big one or not, what’s the nature of your job. And of course, no matter how, your prospective employer will not pay you more than they can afford. I cannot quote a figure, but I think you will be fairly rewarded. You may think in the range of N6m-N12m per annum.
As for your friend, I don’t know what he commands, but I know GE pays handsomely.
All the best.
