Oops, JarusHub is one. The portal redefining career information and experience sharing in Nigeria is one.
Let’s serve you with the list of the Top 10 + 5 most read articles on JarusHub since it started in March 2013.
, How Akeem Oyewale became a bank subsidiary CEO @ 27: This article was published in March 2013 and was one of the earliest articles on JarusHub. Inspiring stories are appealing, it is therefore not a surprise that this article traveled very wide and was highly received by readers. It is also the most commented and second most shared article on JarusHub. The article was viewed by over 3000 people.
, Common Interview Questions and Answer Tips : This article was one of the earliest articles I wrote on JarusHub and it traveled far and was widely commended. A number of people, like this guy, have confirmed how this article aided their job search. It was a classic. The article is the most shared article on JarusHub and second most commented. The raw originality and “local content” that were deployed in the article mad it very appealing to very Nigerian job seekers.
, How Yomi Awobokun became Oando Marketing CEO @ 31: This article was another very inspiring story I shared at the early stage of this portal. It traveled wide, with over 3000 views. It is also widely shared, from Facebook to twitter. It is the 3rd most popular article on JarusHub since inception.
, My Notes on Shell Recruitment Process: In this article, where I endorsed Shell recruitment process and narrated my experience years back, was also well received among readers. I wrote it from my room in Edinburgh sometime one evening in May 2013, and it has been a great resource for people wanting to know how recruitment goes in the Anglo-Dutch multinational. The popularity of the article is not unexpected. Every Nigerian graduate/student wants to work in Shell!
, The Road to Victoria Island: Well, this made it by forced popularity as it is a widely and aggressively advertised post, given that it is the sales page of my ebook. In the ebook, I shared my honest advice on excelling academically, seamlessly transiting to the labour market and going on to have a rewarding career. I used Victoria Island, the base of many Nigerian top companies, as the metaphor for career. If you have not gotten your copy of this 213-page ebook of mine, do asap. It’s just N1500. 6, How to make a First Class grade in Nigerian Universities: In this article, I gave my sincere advice on how to excel academically in Nigerian university, not necessarily making first class, even though I titled it as such. actually, this piece pre-dated this blog as I first wrote it as my contribution to a thread on Nairaland in August 2008. When I started this platform, I converted it into full article. It was another article that traveled far and shared by many bloggers, as it also made Nairaland homepage. It is also the article that directs most search traffic to JarusHub on daily basis as I realize people are always googling how to make first class and this is one of the top articles that google directs searchers to.
, The case of the man that wants to start from O’level again after finishing university with second class lower: Given the weirdness of this case study, it is not surprising that it traveled wide. But I think making Nairaland homepage also contributed significantly to the popularity. Of course, we advised the gentleman not to do that.
, Interview with Niyi Yusuf, CEO of Accenture Nigeria: Flaunting its acclaim as Nigeria’s most influential career portal, JarusHub has interviewed top executives in Nigeria. The one with the ever humble Mr. Niyi Yusuf, one of my mentors, remained the most read to date. After one year, it ranks as the 8th most read article on JarusHub.
, 2nd JarusHub Conference Registration: This is another forced popularity as the article was advertised on Nairaland and in several posts here.
, JarusHub Premium Services: This is another post we put on virtually every article we publish here and it is not a surprise that it made the Top 10 most read articles list on Nairaland. If you have not subscribed, do now. JarusHub thrives on originality and experience. In addition to the articles we share freely here, we can help you in various aspects of your career, at rock-bottom consultancy fees.
