The Expedition is designed by Nigerian Economics Students Association (NESA), University of Lagos Chapter, with the aim of developing the Leadership, Intellectual, Flexibility and Entrepreneurial (L.I.F.E) skills of students in the field of Social Sciences and Business.
The objective of the conference is to engage organizations and professionals and provide opportunity to meet with smart and resilient students to further discuss and address recruitment problems. To actively involve our speakers and partners as relevant stakeholders in key issues regarding education, leadership, entrepreneurship in their bid to playing important roles as corporate citizens.
The goal is to facilitate students’ potentials to equip them with functional knowledge, values, attitudes, desirable habits and skills needed by them to cope up with the changes in their environment. To provide practical and global career information on the dynamics of the workplace and strategic ways of exploring career pathways in Economics and its Affiliates.

Mr. Olajide Alex-Oni is a Chartered Wealth Manager from the International Academy of Business and Financial Management (formerly American Academy of Financial Management). He is an alumni of the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, Chicago and also a graduate of the University of Ibadan in Nigeria. He has over 15 years Financial Services experience spanning across Merchant Banking, Universal Banking, Commercial Banking and Private Banking. He has spent the last seven years as a professional investment banker in Mainstreet Bank Capital Ltd, one of the top rated investment-banking firms in Nigeria. There he built his strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities while specializing in wealth creation and asset management. Olajide is recognized for his creativity in being able to contribute to leadership development and innovative thinking. He has applied his depth of knowledge and skills in various financial advisory and funds raising functions from a handful of corporations, small start up companies to large corporates in both the private and public sector of the Nigerian economy. He is a strong advocate of visionary leadership, compliance and positive change. His expedition is into Investment Banking and Leadership and he is a Speaker at the Expedition
Mr. Suraj Oyewale, popularly known as Jarus, is a First Class graduate of economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, South-West Nigeria, and an award-winning chartered accountant. He ran his MBA from the Edinburgh Business School of Heriot-Watt University, Scotland. He has worked in Nigeria’s investment banking and oil and gas sectors for a combined period of more than 6 years. With an undying passion for writing, he has over 100 published articles in Nigerian national dailies (Punch, Guardian, Tribune, BusinessDay, THISDAY etc) from 2003. He was featured on popular TV show, THE POLICY COUNCIL, as one of Nigeria’s Emerging Youth Leaders. The show airs on ChannelsTV, LTV and BenTV UK. He is also a Social Media influencer and one of the most respected contributors to popular online forums like Nairaland, Africa’s biggest web-based discussion forum.
Mr. Oyewale is the founder of JarusHub Career & Management Portal, which has been described as the Forbes of Nigeria.
He was also a panelist at a public forum on Petroleum Industry Bill organized by the Economics Students Association, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, in March 2014. He is a highly sought after speaker at career events of schools and voluntary groups across Nigeria.

Mr. Olusola Adewunmi sits at the helm of affairs at Contagious128, with Lagos & London offices. Forerunners in Emerging & New media, Online Media Marketing and Project Management Solutions; they relentlessly deliver cutting edge technology based solutions for major brands like Guinness Nigeria, British American Tobacco, Ericsson, Skye Bank, LG, Zenith Bank, Diageo Brands Nigeria, Unilever, MTN, Recare Nigeria, Zain etc He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from the University of Lagos and an MBA (Management) in view from the University of Lagos, and a host of other certifications. He has had progressive working experience in the integrated marketing communications industry since 2001. He led or worked on successful campaigns on many notable accounts like MTN, CANI (Microsoft & Intel), Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Nigeria, ARM Pensions, Pfizer Corporate, HARP, Starcomms, SKYE Bank, Zenith Bank, SC Johnson, Transcorp, UBA Group, Oando among others at several leading advertising firms including TBWA\Concept Lagos, Centrespread FCB, ZCard Nigeria and 141 Worldwide, a member of the WPP family where he resigned as the Copy Manager on the British American Tobacco account in 2007 to set up Contagious128 Media. Though in the digital industry, Olusola is a firm believer in human capacity investment. He is currently a Nokia Lumia Brand Ambassador in CSR/Training, a JCI certified Public Speaker (JCI University USA), a Workforce trainer and Lifecoach in leadership, entrepreneurship, life, personnel and personal management. She is headhunted by clients as a personal and professional development expert, youth development strategist and recruitment consultant who has facilitated corporate workshop, trainings and open-seminars on becoming the sought-after job candidate, excellent customer service delivery and workplace effectiveness series.
Her expedition is into Human Resource with a stinging passion for Youth Empowerment and she is a Speaker at the Expedition who will manage the Human Resource session.
He has been involved in major Society development projects ranging from Entrepreneurial development programmes, Secondary School Learning network programmes, Operation feed the Community and Operation Clean up. He has been involved in human capacity trainings and as a young man he has already trained on the platform of the federal Government for Amnesty International and other corporate bodies which includes Access Bank amongst others. His expedition is into Project Management and he has a passion for Speaking, Writing, Training and Facilitating for human capital development programmes and he is a Speaker at the Expedition.
