Anything you want to do, you want to do it best. And best is led by good ideas. Whatever it is, starting a new business or making amendments in existing, launching a new product, speaking to audience on some important topic, writing to covey your message; you want it to be as good as it could be. We can define ‘Good’ as “the quality of whatever we must to try to produce”.
Good ideas are usually crazy. Filtering your crazy ideas, putting into practice in your way, doing something unique that others feel silly or no one did it before; it is nothing else but novelty. Do not follow such ideas for doing something destructive. If you do it in a productive manner, you are not far from desired success. If not practiced, you cannot to what extent your idea could be productive.
Writing your ideas frequently makes you a good thinker, it expands your intellectual level. There are ideas that hold you attention for days, weeks or even for years. Write, scratch off the ones that do not let you sleep, brainstorm more and more to assess all positive and negative aspects, and be determined when you find some idea worth practicing. How effective and lawful your idea is? No one knows except you. As you cannot make others to understand the exact associations as you think about.
I have a book “How to Win Friends and Influence People” written by Dale Carnegie. The author prepared a short talk on the topic which turned into a 30 minute lecture. Then he used to print a set of rules on cards. And then he had to write a complete book because his talk created a need of a textbook of such kind. Dale Carnegie told:
“We started with a set of rules printed on a card no larger than a postcard. The next season we printed a larger card, then a leaflet, then a series of booklets, each one expanding in size and scope. After fifteen years of experimentation and research came this book.”
Is not it a good idea to talk on the issue, everyone wants to overcome? No doubt, it is best, not only good. The proof is this book has been published in many editions, every time with improvements towards the matter of subject. First edition was published in 1936. 3rd edition was released in 2011 with titled “How to Win Friends and Influence People in the Digital Age”. The book is very famous and remained on #19 in The Times Magazine in 2011. The reason is the author, through his book, makes people to realize there is much more to understand about human relations and humanity.
It was example of a book which proved a turning point in the lives of many people in America and then throughout the globe. Now, have a look on great inventions that changed our life styles impressively. Almost all the innovators were called crazy when people came to know about their ideas. Just think about the inventors of airplane, the car, the computer, the cell phone, the smartphone, the private space company, the electric car, solar panels and robots. And then think of the people use the internet to watch movies, and send money, to actually purchase things, find a spouse, connect with friends, get your groceries delivered, press a button and have a regular car pick you up or find lodging at someone’s house or even tree house. Now decide, what are the good ideas? Who are crazy? Those who initiated such unique and well desired products others could never thought of or the people who utilize the services and products, who is crazy? If you want to do something great, exercise the good ideas or the best idea.
