DCT16082013: If illiterates do well as self-employed, why not you with your higher education
DAILY CAREER TIP – 16/08/2013
I like this quote by Emma, one of Jarushub’s columnists.
I am of the opinion that self-employment is not what you decide doing after graduation, but having a mindset of going solo right from your days in the University.
If people with little or no education are doing great as self-employed individuals and employers of labour, I think those of us with higher education should do better provided we are ready to change our mindsets and expectations as per the labour market.
But government should create an enabling environment that will make businesses to grow
Even though I have called attention to the limits of self-employment advocacy in the past, I fully agree with Emma here.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
