DAILY CAREER TIP 03/09/2013
No matter how bad you’re treated, it is wrong for you to bad-mouth your employer. If you’re not comfortable, simply quit. Inasmuch as he pays your salary, you don’t talk about your employer in negative light. Defend your employer in public if you can. This doesn’t mean you turn yourself into the mouthpiece of the company (there is a special department for that), but in some informal discussions there are times you need to defend your employers.
During the OccupyNigeria crisis of January 2013, I was on the payroll of one of the oil marketing companies. To the best of my knowledge, the company did not partake in the subsidy jamboree, it does its business legitimately. In informal discussions I stuck my neck out for the company, not because I was a staff of the company, but because I had opportunity to defend the company and to the best of my knowledge, the company did not partake in the subsidy scam. I still stand by my assertion now that the company does clean business, even though I have moved on in the industry.
Be a good ambassador of your brand. There is nothing wrong in promoting your organization, inasmuch as it doesn’t involve illegitimacy.

The OccupyNigeria happened in January 2013, not 2013 as stated in the post.
Even when one is being maltreated?
Like the case of a chinese company treating Nigerians like second-class citizens in their own country. Sir, are you suggesting they remain silent while those tyrants hold their salaries just to fund their next vacations.
