David-Borha, Kolawole, Ogunlesi, Yusuf are Nominees for Jarushub Role Model 2013
There have been questions in recent time on whether there are actually people young Nigerians can look forward to in Nigeria. With the collapse of executives Nigerians had trusted as personalities worthy of emulation, Nigerians now look at everybody with scepticism. The JARUSHUB NIGERIAN ROLE MODEL (JNRM) is an initiative of this platform to show that there are still Nigerians worthy of celebration, even if they are difficult to come by. It should be put in mind that Jarushub is primarily a career and mentorship platform, with a touch of political economy. So our choices are guided by our central theme.
After weeks of thorough rumination and exchange of ideas by the Jarushub team, we have nominated these 4 personalities for the 1st edition of the JNRM 2013.
Mrs. David Borha is the Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC and former Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC. Previously, she was the Deputy CEO of Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC (Jan 2008 – April 2011). She also was as Acting Managing Director, IBTC Chartered Bank Plc (Oct 2007 – Jan 2008). In addition, she is a Board Member of the following institutions: Financial Institutions Training Centre, Fate Foundation and First Securities Discount House Limited
Mrs. David-Borha holds an MBA degree from Manchester Business School, United Kingdom. Her executive educational experience includes the Advanced Management Programme of the Harvard Business School.
She is an unassuming woman that goes about her profession with respect and professional carriage. Sola is one of the silent brains behind IBTC since inception. She is a thorough-bred professional with high ethical standing. Together with Atedo Peterside, they have been able to raise a generation of fine investment bankers.
Mr. Kolawole, the immediate past editor of Nigeria’s most influential newspaper, THISDAY, and Founder of Cable Newspaper, an online news portal that is about to be launched, is one of Nigeria’s most respected newspaper columnists.
