Hello,
My name is Tolu Ajadi. I am an Accounting student of Uniben and I just cleared my final ICAN papers last diet, so going for my induction by May. I have a career question that I need to ask and I believe you are in the best position to provide answers due to your experience in the labour market. Which one will be good in between MSC and MBA in Finance for someone who is aiming a managerial position in a financial organization/ finance sector? I look forward to your response.
Thanks
Dear Tolu,
Congrats for qualifying as a chartered accountant.
Both are OK, but since you are not planning to go into academics in the future or further to Phd, I think MBA is better for your purpose.
Both MBA Finance and Msc Finance are okay, but at management level, MBA may have a slight edge. In fact, some companies enrol employees for MBA as part of preparation for management role.
All the best.
