Dear Sir,
I am hepatitis B positive but no any symptoms in doctors report, can I get job in Nigeria?
Best Regards
A.M.
Dear A.M.,
Hepatitis is no doubt one of the tests done in medicals of companies in Nigeria.
I have heard of cases of companies rejecting candidates after medicals for being hepatitis positive.
Some others give you job but will tell you your medical insurance will not cover the hepatitis.
Some will give you unconditionally.
So it depends on the company.
There are of course smaller, less structured companies that don’t do medical test before employment (especially those that don’t have medical insurance as part of the welfare package).
To know whether a company will reject you after medicals, go to Google and type the company name plus job plus hepatitis and see if there has been a discussion on it online before (eg Nairaland).
All the best
