Can a second class lower graduate get job in a Big 4 or investment firms?
Good day sir,
My name is Wale Ladeji. I am a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University. I graduated with a second class lower in 2017 and I currently study online in a UK university.
I will like to ask if I have a chance of being selected for interview if I apply to any of the Big 4 or any top investment bank in Nigeria because I am not sure if I will be selected.
Thanks.

Dear Wale,
Big 4 is highly unlikely as they request 2:1 for entry level positions – although there were talks about EY removing the grade barrier (please find out).
But getting jobs in investment firms is possible. Most of them are not very rigid on the 2:1 requirement. I have a friend that had 2:2 in economics from UNILORIN but got into one of them, albeit she had ICAN certificate. Your masters may also help there. You can try some informal networking into that industry – make friends with people that work in these investment firms and get them help you submit your CVs in the companies.
All the best.
