25 FANTASTIC COMPANIES THAT DID NOT MAKE JOBBERMAN LIST 2018
Few days ago, Jobberman published the list of the best 100 companies to work for in Nigeria in 2018. Jobberman list is based on survey, which is a very fantastic tool to draw up such list. However, sometimes, due to the limit of information available to respondents, not much might be known about some fantastic companies.

- Vetiva Capital Management: A foremost and reputable investment management organisation that is Pan-African in her approach and operations. She is a major player in Nigeria’s investment banking market.
- Nestoil: Nigeria’s leading engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning service providers.
- PSL Engineering & Control: A multinational engineering firm providing engineering services to clients across the power, design, manufacturing and oil and gas industries.
- IFC: The private equity arm of the World Bank. Investing in numerous businesses across the world and with a considerable activity in Africa.
- Bain & Company: Part of the MBBs. Top management and consulting firm that advises clients on the very important issues in management and opportunities; strategy, marketing, operations, technology and mergers & acquisitions across the continent’s biggest companies in the fast moving sectors. With expertise in retail, consumer goods, media, technology, industrials, oil and gas etc. Bain & Co. is a major player in the management consulting market in Africa.
- Lekoil Nigeria Limited: An exploration and production company with assets in Nigeria and Namibia.
- Delta Afrik: Part of the DeltaTek Group, DA is an engineering and design firm with interest in the oil and gas industry. The firm has interests across various aspects in the engineering field and employees are well remunerated.
- Bristow Helicopters: A leading provider of aviation services for business and industrial professionals across the globe. Her staff are rewarded with wonderful packages.
- Dana Group: A leading conglomerate with investments in pharmaceuticals, aviation, food, automobile, chemicals and industrial products.
- Meristem Securities: Leading indigenous investment banking corporation with a a formidable standing in the Nigeria corporate world. The firm offers a competitive salary and a wide range of perquisites.
- Renaissance Capital: An emerging market focused investment banking and equities corporation; mergers & acquisition; FX & FX derivatives; research and portfolios. RenCap does not employ much, but those under her employ are well remunerated.
- FIRS: Nigeria’s foremost tax revenue organisation. FIRS is of the few public organisations that people leave good jobs in the private sector to join.
- National Hospital Abuja: One of the renowned public health organisations. The National Hospital is one of the few public hospitals with up-to-date equipment and facilities.
- AXA Mansard: A premier financial services firm with an enviable brand in the insurance sector. AXA Mansard, a part of the GTB family, is one of the best places to work in the country.
- Standard Chartered Bank: A multinational financial institution with focus on emerging markets. She provides a world class environment and top-notch training.
- Debt Management Office: Organisation saddled with the responsibility of managing the country’s debt. The DMO is one of the “silent” government agencies that offers an excellent remuneration and staff development comparable to the private sector.
- AMCON: Public organisation that is in charge of the recapitalisation of affected banks by providing an opportunity for the banks to sell off Non Performing Loans. AMCON is a government company that offers enviable perks and training for staff. She like most federal government owned agencies offer life-long employment.
- Covenant University: Nigeria’s premier private university. Covenant University is a place to be. The infrastructure, perks, allowances, room for growth, brand etc is of the highest standard. As a fast growing university with taste for standard, it is a place to be for would-be academician.
- Cappa & D’ Alberto: A renowned and reputable construction that has been in Nigeria since 1932. CD, as it is popularly called offers excellent training and perks for her staff.
- Seplat Petroleum Development Company: An indigenous integrated energy company. Seplat offers arguably the highest remuneration for an indigenous oil and gas company in Nigeria. Other perks include but not limited to international training, staff bus etc.
- Channels Television: An renowned media house that provides en environment for exposure, training, travels etc. With her reputation in the industry, working with Channels provides an enviable brand to a resume.
