I must confess I have been very fortunate to have fantastic columnists and contributors to support me on this portal since I launched it in March this year. They all added value to this platform. I cannot run a one-man show. Sometimes, time and some other factors make it difficult for me to write content for this blog, but my ever dependable columnists make it possible to have something for you readers during such dry period. I set out to have a blog which content is at least 90% original, and less of copy and paste, my columnists have also been supportive in this regard with their original thoughts. I present to you:
1, Mr. Emmanuel Ewumi: Since I brought Emma on board in May, he has only missed his weekly column once. Emma’s articles on investment and related matters have earned Jarushub an enviable status in discussion of investment matters. What’s more, his personalized approach also falls in line with our mission to make Jarushub as interactive as possible. He answers every question posed at him in the comments threads.
2, Dr. Michael Taiwo: MT has been another pillar of support for this portal, and he has contributed in no small measure to make sure Jarushub gained its footing. He was my first columnist, and he has been consistent in his forthnightly column. Until last week, he had never missed a column since I brought him on board in March! His first miss came last week, and it was because he needed time to do a more indepth review of the book he was reading for review in his Monday column. The article came a week late. Michael also engages commenters on his articles, and replies every single comment made. His support for this blog also goes beyond column writing, as he offers advice from time to time on the tech aspect of the blog. I must also mention that he voluntarily offered to and did contribute N20,000 to support me in the last Jarushub conference that I made free for participants. Such is MT’s support.
3, Mr. Sola Fagorusi: Fagro is another guy whose contribution to the success of this portal cannot be quantified. He writes for at least 3 media and he must deliver on weekly basis. He was also one of the guys that stood with me as the blog struggled to gain its footing at inception. His articles traveled wide, and brought traffic to Jarushub. He also came all the way from Ibadan to anchor the last Jarushub offline career. Although some other commitments have made it difficult for Fagro to continue to maintain his weekly column here, he still supports by way of behind-the-scene advice and tips on managing this place.
4, Mr. Obafemi Bamidele: Obafemi is the most active member of Jarushub Analysts Council aka the Jarus Eggheads. Despite his very busy schedule as an employee in a top oil company, he is always sparing his time to analyse and offer his contribution to cases we receive for treatment under our “ASK THE EGGHEADS” platform. Obafemi has added great value to Jarushub with his highly respected and sincere advice.
5, Mr. Kolawole Nasir: Although we brought him on board only lately, he has turned out to be a quality addition to Jarushub with his thoughtful articles on HR issues. With career being the primary focus of this portal, Nasir has helped in consolidating our standing in this specialty. His articles have also brought huge traffic to Jarushub.
6, Mr. David Apaflo: David has only written 3 articles for Jarushub, but he is already up there with the most looked-out-for writers for Jarushub. His articles are explosive. He is a brilliant young man that feels at ease sharing insightful personal experience on career. His McKinsey interview note still remains one of the most widely traveled articles on Jarushub.
7, Engineer Ajanlekoko: Ajanlekoko is a maverick. He has a knack for freely expressing his thoughts on career in particular. AJ, whose opinions are a product of vast experience working in different companies in Nigeria, is one whose views you can’t afford to miss.
8, Mr. Mayowa Akinsola: Mayowa is many things rolled into one: an estate manager by academic training, an accountant by professional training, and a student of history and politics. He is also a lawyer in the making. You could feel this potpourri of endeavours in his writings. From an estate management topic on property sale in Nigeria to historical topics like facts about Mandela or Pele, Mayowa’s versatility is easily noticeable.
9, Barrister Misbau Lateef: Mislaw is a lawyer, and a political analyst. You may want to call him a politician as well. He was one of our super-regular contributors at the early stage of this portal, with his Friday Legal Clinic. The column may no longer be flowing, there is no discounting Mislaw’s contribution to Jarushub, especially in its formative days.
10, Dr. Muhammad Shakir Balogun: Dr. Balogun is a busy man. For a medical doctor and medical teacher, that is expected. This explains why he has not been able to sustain the health column I handed him on this portal. But no doubt, the couple of articles he was able to pen for us remain valuable.
Other guys like Ibrahim Adeigbe and Austin Archibong were also wonderful in the year, serving you with quality articles. Join me in thanking these gentlemen that added spice to Jarushub in 2013. 2014 even promises to be better, by God’s grace, as we bring on board more men of ideas, like Tope Ajetunmobi, Obafemi Awolowo University’s record CGPA holder to share his insights on various issues.

I really consider it a great honour to have been invited as a contributor to the blog in the first place and now even considered one of the ‘super-regular contributors’ in the early days of the portal. For obvious reasons the ‘column may no longer be flowing’ as one would have loved, but it gives great joy to me that the blog itself is flowing and really recording leaps in its charted course. We are really proud of you Suraj and can only wish Jarushub nothing but the best always. For me, there is no goodbye. I still lurk arround! Cheers!
Obviously, there’s no reward for good other than good. So, may the Most High reward you all acordingly. Many thanks!
I am just seeing this post. Great work Suraj! I am extremely proud of you
