As 2013 finally rolls to an end, I want to seize this opportunity to thank everyone that has contributed in one way or the other to the phenomenal rise of this portal, Jarushub.
This is our first year and I must confess the growth of Jarushub surpassed my expectation. It was nominated with the Jobberman of this country as Nigeria’s Career Blog of the Year 2013. It also shared same space with established blogs like Linda Ikeji, in the nomination for the Nigerian Blog of the Year 2013. When I decided to move from Nairaland to open this blog in March 2013, I wasn’t too sure of the terrain. There I was, a 9-5 corporate worker, floating a portal that wanted to compete with those that do theirs on full time basis.
Today, as I write this, apart from offering valuable information that has helped to reduce unemployment in Nigeria, I am also proud to state that Jarushub is now an employer of labour. It is my joy to see this passion nudging to full scale social enterprise.
In September 2013,I organized what could pass for the biggest assembly of top-notch professionals for young Nigerians, The 1st Jarushub Career Conference, at Lekki, Lagos.
Also this year, going by Tope Fasua’s advice on putting our knowledge into books, I decided to write my first book, an e-book, THE ROAD TO VICTORIA ISLAND. That is another milestone. Efforts are also ongoing to write my second book, INSIDE THE HIGHRISES OF VICTORIA ISLAND: A GUIDE TO CLIMBING THE CAREER LADDER IN CORPORATE NIGERIA, which will see me interview founders of two of the twenty four banks in Nigeria.
I must thank the following personalities who have added value in one way or the other to this portal.
Let me start from those that accepted our interview requests or participated as resource persons in our offline career conference:

There are others, like JAY BABA KWAGHE and YUSUFALESH, who hardly comment, but are super-loyal readers of Jarushub and have not missed a single post from inception.
I also know that there are many others who don’t comment or even contact me but are regular visitors to the hub, they deserve commendation too. In fact, on a day this site was not loading, it was from people I didn’t even know followed me, that I got to know as I was bombarded with messages from Facebook to twitter that Jarushub’s url wasn’t loading for that day. That is how loyal they are.
2014 promises to be a better year, by the special grace of God.
Once again, I thank you all.
