One age-long debate in management is which Finance or Business (Operations, Strategy etc) is the easier route to becoming CEO. For example, where there are 4 Executive Directors (say Finance, Marketing, Operations and Strategy) to replace the CEO, which of them is usually chosen? Finance is generally regarded as a support function. It is therefore not all the time that the CFO becomes the CEO. Felix is one of few Finance guys that got to become CEO in top companies.
And okay, he is yet another KPMG alumnus.
