Economics is not a professional course unlike Accountancy. It doesn’t have professional certification or courses. You can only go for Masters and Phd or take executive or academic courses in branches of economics.

You can use political science degree for most of what economics degree can fetch you, except a job that specifically requires you to have a degree in Economics. You may try moving to Politics, Politics and Economics (PPE) in hat same department. But if you ant get that too, just continue with Pol Science and make sure you make at least 2.1.

You can use political science degree for most of what economics degree can fetch you, except a job that specifically requires you to have a degree in Economics. You may try moving to Politics, Politics and Economics (PPE) in hat same department. But if you ant get that too, just continue with Pol Science and make sure you make at least 2.1.

mind you we have two kinds of nurses
1)auxillary nurses(those with no university qualifications)
2) bsc nurses(those with bachelors degree and university qualifications
i recall you saying nurses are under paid probably less than 100k at entry level…hmm maybe you are refering to auxillary nurses whick pay package ranges frm 20k- 80k depending on the hospital and years of experience.
but if you are refering to bsc nurses then i disagree with you a bsc nurse at entry level are placed at level 9 next to doctors and for there pay package currently now ranges from 150-300k depending on the hospitals and locations mind you as there years of experince increase so as there pay package increass i know some nurses thay recieve higher pay than some doctors arround 450k monthly and for you to say a graduate doc recieve less than 500k monthly you most be dreaming some doctors at some federal hospitals recieve 400-500k monthly and it may increase to 800k as they go higher

hi sir, i disagree with u regarding what u said about everyone can do computer engineering/computer science or IT.. first and foremost, Information Technology is in different phase. we have phases for end users, phases for app developers/programmer and phases for Network/computer engineers…looking at the basics in IT were we have Microsoft office productivity tools in which end users acquire basic knowledge about computer systems by implementing graphics design etc…the people in this phase have little or no knowledge about a computer systems.. mind u…..road side computer engineers are not to be classified under IT professionals because they don’t have what it takes to solve complex issues.. computer engineering or computer science is beyond ur local space… many road side computer engineers that underwent 3 or 6mnth training in a local computer school have tarnished the reputation and images of IT professional making many people think that IT is just about opening computers and repairing.. IT is way beyond that. it is true that every body must be a computer literate or know the basics of computer i.e data processing, Microsoft office productivity tools, visual basics, corel draw and Photoshop. that doesnt mean that everybody can study computer engineering and computer science…. this are all different things entirely… been able to study computer engineering or comp science means that u want to understand the internal operation of a computer system and how it functions… a small child can be a computer literate that doesn’t mean that he or she can study computer engineering or write programs using high level programming languages using C++, python, C# or perl…and even shell script and also solve complex issues when it arises. thanks you

Sit for GCE to have better grades, economics in particular. Credit in Economics is compulsory for most social sciences courses, which Psychology is part of. But I think this result is good enough to get you admission into psychology department, being a less competitive course. Try and push it.

If you make a 2.1 and you graduate before 26 years of age (NYSC year inclusive) banks and professional services firms like KPMG etc don’t care about course. You may accept the Biology Science Education course too.

Not so much Math in Business Admin, but you still need to be fair in Math to make a good grade. I will advise you overcome your fears by putting in extra efforts, rather than run away from it.

Depends on the field. In social sciences, course like Sociology and Political Science are less chosen by students, hence less competitive. In the Arts, German, French, Dramatic Arts, Linguistics are not so competitive. In the Sciences, I would think Chemistry, Biology etc are less chosen. All engineering courses are competitive.

If you can cope with the rigour, go for Medicine. But Anatomy and Biomedical Engineering are good alternatives if you fear you may not be able to cope. But these courses are rigorous themselves.

You need to have credit in WAEC in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for most science courses. As a commercial student, you would not have written Physics and Chemistry in WAEC. The minimum is for you to get a private teacher to prepare you for WAEC and write those subjects.

Since it is a school that is fast (private university), you are guaranteed of completing your DE in good time. I will advise you go for DE in Electrical Engineering.

I have BSc Accounting. I was forced by an uncle to choose this course because I was orphaned & he had to sponsor me. I wanted Food Technology or French because I’m a science student & I love anything Food or crop related. I also like French so I wanted to study either French or Food Technology but my uncle refused & made me do Accounting. I graduated with second class lower but I didn’t enjoy the study at all.
Now I want to go for Masters but I’m confused. I would like to do MSc instead of MBA, please advice me on the choice of my passion & Accounting.
Should I do MSc in Accounting or will I be allowed to do MSc in French or Food Technology without BSc in them first?
I don’t think you can do Msc French or Food Technology with a first degree in accounting. Msc Accounting is not so useful, professionally, except you want to go into lecturing. For an accounting graduate that does not want to go into lecturing but into professional world, professional exams like ICAN, ACCA etc is the next way to go.
However, since you don’t like accounting, I’m not very sure your degree is relevant to these fields you said you want to go into. If you want Msc, there are many fields, e.g Finance, that your Bsc Accounting qualifies you for.
